ABOUT
JOELLE
SHERMAN
Hi! My name is Joelle (she/her). I came to counselling after decades of working as a nurse in a variety of settings. Being of service is integral to who I am. I have learned the traumas of life do not reduce or define us, or have to be faced alone. Well-being and the ability to navigate challenges of life, relationships, uncertainty, illness, death, and what it means to be human may be approached in a variety of ways leading to integration, embodiment, and flourishing. Life is this moment now. I am here to collaborate with you uniquely based on your worldview and inner wisdom to decrease suffering, face challenges with confidence, and ultimately thrive in living the life you wish to lead.
I am humbled to live in the Comox Valley and by the beauty that surrounds us every day. I enjoy teaching and practicing yoga, stand-up paddle boarding and hiking.
I would like to respectfully acknowledge that the land on which I work, play and live is within the ancestral, traditional and unceded territory of the K’ómoks Nation.
Bachelor Science in Nursing, Eastern Michigan University

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
